Within the framework of the “Women’s Voices” project, Al-Haq Foundation for Human Rights, in cooperation with UN Women and with support from the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), implemented a training on “Training of Female Trainers and Building Women’s Leadership Capacities (TOT)” in January 2026, in the city of Ramadi, over a period of five days.

The event was a Training of Trainers (TOT) focused on building women’s leadership and training capacities.It aimed to equip women with practical skills in designing and delivering training sessions, facilitating discussions, and engaging with decision-makers, while strengthening their role in community awareness, participation, and decision-making processes.

The training featured interactive sessions that combined theory with practical application, enabling participants to actively engage in group exercises, simulations, and mini-training presentations. Key discussions focused on the difference between training and education, ethical training practices, effective communication, non-bias facilitation, and managing challenging discussions within training environments.

Participants demonstrated clear improvement in their training and leadership skills, particularly in session design, facilitation techniques, and confidence in public speaking. The final day included practical assessments through mini-training sessions, which reflected a strong level of readiness to transfer knowledge within their communities.

Feedback from participants highlighted the relevance of the content, the participatory methodology, and the safe learning environment. Pre- and post-training assessments confirmed a noticeable increase in participants’ understanding and practical skills, indicating a positive and measurable impact of the training.
